tree's gone up!
Our little tree went up on Friday and wouldn't you know it, the lights worked with the converters but they're blinking a little slower than they did last year. Go figure. When we first got the tree three years ago, we wanted a white one so that we could pretend it was covered with snow. Here in Southern California, the pretend-snow comes in handy.
We're thinking of putting lights up around the exterior of our house as well, seeing that almost every house along our street is lighting up (as though to compete to see whose blinking rose bush could be seen from outer space) and we wanna play too. But that means having to purchase yards of wires connecting electricity to glass, and having to climb up our one wobbly wooden ladder to nail the things by the roof ledge.
It's an accident, or two, waiting to happen. Maybe we'll string some popcorn instead.
